Jimi IoT is continuing to expand its presence globally, and the Brazil telematics business is quickly becoming a key strategic focus. From May 23–25, our team traveled to São Paulo to attend EXPOSEC 2017, Latin America’s most important event for the security sector. Celebrating its 20th edition, the show delivered a comprehensive showcase of cutting-edge solutions across Electronic, Private, Personal, Property, and Corporate Security segments.
With more than 800 brands on display and over 42,000 industry professionals in attendance, EXPOSEC 2017 offered a valuable look into technologies designed to optimize transportation systems and reduce maintenance costs. Many exhibitors in the TMS (Transport Management System) space presented software-based tools for fleet and logistics improvement. The event provided insight into which technologies are currently shaping the Brazil telematics business.
Public transport plays a critical role in every country’s infrastructure. Continuous monitoring of route networks, traffic flow, and service optimization are essential to maintaining high service levels. However, public transportation often demands more advanced metrics and parameters than those supported by generic fleet management platforms.
Regulatory frameworks in Brazil also introduce specific local requirements for monitoring and control. Our Brazilian partner, CRX, is exploring innovative ways to deliver better telematics services, offering features like real-time vehicle tracking and voice monitoring as part of their next-gen offerings.
In summary, participating in EXPOSEC 2017 was a major step forward for Jimi IoT’s Brazil telematics business. The show enabled partners to showcase our intelligent vehicle solutions, engage directly with local customers, and better understand the growing opportunities in South America’s connected mobility sector.
